UME PREPARATORY SCHOOL

This project consists of a two-story, $12M K-8 education building.  The steel-framed building includes storm shelter, sized to accommodate all students and faculty.  Based on ICC-500 and 2015 IBC requirements, the storm shelter is designed for 250 mph wind loads, plus debris impact loads and loads imparted by the adjacent structure collapsing on the storm shelter.  Additional features include a large drop-off canopy, double-volume dining hall and a grand stair.
