POLK COUNTY COURTHOUSES AND ANNEX BUILDING

The scope of the project consists of a historic renovation/restoration of the above-noted 1924 courthouse building.  The Grant of Preservation Easement – Exhibit C: Scope of Work, dated July 27, 2018, described the following issues that will involve structural work:

• Repairs and/or reconstruction of a courtyard retaining wall
• Replace exterior door lintels in basement passages (with associated masonry removal/reinstallation
• Remedial waterproofing around basement walls below grade
• Restore vaulted plaster ceiling of the District Courtroom and open area of the balcony (alternate: restore original full height and size of courtroom by removing 2^nd and 3^rd floor corridors, including restoration of balcony and modifications for accessibility)
• New accessible restrooms
• Complete replacement of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
