CHRISTUS RED DE SALUD HOSPITAL BUILDING 7
This project consists of an “L”-shaped building located in a seismically-active region. One wing of the building includes 3 below-grade parking levels and 10 medical levels. The other wing includes 6 medical levels and is located on top of an existing 4-level parking garage. A skybridge extends over a wide street and pedestrian sidewalk to provide a connection to the main hospital. Armstrong-Douglass Partners completed a feasibility study of the building to evaluate the capacity of the existing parking garage. The feasibility study determined that several foundation, column and wall elements are required to be structurally reinforced in order to safely support the new vertical expansion. We are currently in the Schematic Design phase of the project.
