1600 PACIFIC AVE. MEP UPGRADES & HOTEL FEASIBILITY STUDY
Our scope for this long-vacant high rise in downtown Dallas was twofold: provide structural engineering for MEP upgrades, and perform a structural feasibility study for a potential hotel tenant. The MEP upgrades included cutting new chases throughout the tower and engineering a rooftop structure for support of a cooling tower, pumps, boilers, ductwork and other mechanical equipment. For the feasibility study, we performed a full-building analysis, including consideration of a swimming pool at a low roof area and partial demolition of floors at levels 2 and 3 to create high volume spaces.
