GOOSE CREEK RETIREMENT COMMUNITY

This project consists of additions and renovations to an existing 5-story concrete structure that was formerly a hospital.  The additions include a 6th floor restaurant, new lobby and porte cochere.  Renovations include a new roof garden with walking path, large window awnings and reinforcement of deteriorated structural elements.  Prior to beginning design work, a feasibility study was performed to determine if the existing structure could safely support the additions, given the site’s coastal wind loads.
